hanging out with OSCAR-WINNER Natalie Musteata, cowriter & co-director of the absurdist darkly comic sci-fi short film Two People Exchanging Saliva, which shared the Oscar for best live action feature short film with The Singers, after a recent Wrap Pro screening of the Oscar Shorts Showcase at the Culver Theater. In her film, violence is not just accepted but normalized, whereas expressions of affection are not just discouraged but punished, and it's leaning into absurdist dark comedy, like she does in her film and I do in my debut memoir Killing Justice, that is essential for us to find hope and healing in dark times like these
