My good friend & fellow author Jean Guerrero , was hoping her investigative biography of Stephen Miller would cease to be relevant. But it is more relevant than ever, as he is now deputy chief of staff for policy in Trump’s second term.
“Hatemonger” was based on more than 100 interviews with Miller’s family members, friends and colleagues as well as hundreds of pages of court records and private correspondence that she obtained. It exposed Miller’s radicalization by far right ideologues who helped him become Trump’s senior advisor and speechwriter. It was praised as “superb, deeply revelatory” (Vanity Fair), “incisive and terrifying” (Jezebel) and “carefully documented and persuasive” (Kirkus Reviews).
The book was lauded even by a conservative publication, The Bulwark: “The title ‘Hatemonger’ might seem sensational or overdramatic, but it is clinically precise … Guerrero has the emails.”
